Emily (Em) Nott (M.Ed., she or they) is a youth-focused educator, learner, artist, and researcher. She is passionate about the transformative potential of public arts, out of school time (OST) education, and creating structural change to support OST educators’ well-being and flourishing. She is a doctoral student at the University of Wisconsin, Madison in the department of Curriculum and Instruction. She is a researcher on the CALL for Equity Centered Leadership (CALL ECL) project and coordinates the Play Make Learn education conference in Madison, WI.

She previously served as the Director of Learning Communities at After School Matters in Chicago, and as a teaching artist in multiple contexts in Michigan and Chicago. She’s been a presenter at the International Social Emotional Learning Exchange, the Creative Educators Summit and the Ready by 21 National Meeting. She holds an M.Ed in Instructional Leadership from the University of Illinois at Chicago, a BFA in Arts Education and a BA in Arts and Public Life from Michigan State University.
