Neven Holland is a Ph.D. student in urban schooling at the University of California, Los Angeles. His research interests concentrate around investigating the sociopolitical context and micro issues inside schools and classrooms that influence Black and Brown students’ educational experiences and outcomes. Previously, he served as a tenured elementary teacher for Memphis-Shelby County Schools in Tennessee. Neven is also a Klawe Senior Fellow for EdReports and a 2022 Tennessee state finalist for the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching.
