Deonte Iverson is a graduate student at the University of Wisconsin – Madison and is a rising fourth-year doctoral student in the Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis department on the K-12 track. Before enrolling at UW – Madison, he completed his bachelor’s degree in Special Education at the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater. He also was a Special Education Intern for the West Allis-West Milwaukee School District during the Spring 2019 term.

Iverson’s current research interests explore minority students’ experience in behavior intervention processes within special education. He also is vested in humanizing students with dis/abilities by centering their voices in research and shifting the field’s approach to special education.
