Angelica D. Euseary is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis (ELPA). She obtained a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Bowling Green State University and a master’s degree in African American Studies from UW-Madison.

As a journalist, she’s written for The Detroit Free Press, Madison365, The Cap Times, and The Center for Public Integrity. She published a blog post for UW-Madison’s Public History Project about the history of Black women and safety at the university and throughout the city of Madison. She has also worked in a local elementary school serving as an after-school group facilitator for affinity group programming for Black girls. She has been a lecturer for a course in the Gender Women’s Studies Department, Black Feminisms. She also serves as an advisor for an organization on campus, For the Femmes, a space for women of color to be in community and support one another throughout their undergraduate journeys. Angelica is also a 200-hour Certified Yoga Instructor.  

Her research interests include: Black Girlhood Studies; Black Women and Girls in Education; Black Feminism; K-12 School-Community Partnerships; K-12 Leadership; Depictions of Black Educational Spaces/Experiences in Media; Critical Media Pedagogy.
